first half of the 18th century. In 1921
there were 926 Jews living in the
village and they constituted 50% of
the local population. Around 50 Jews
were murdered by the Nazis in late
1939 and others were expelled to the
ghettos in Ciechanów and Maków
Mazowiecki. Those who survived were
murdered in Auschwitz-Birkenau in
November 1942.
